SIC-SOCIETA' ITALIANA CHIMICI SRL is an Italian biotechnology corporate family group, whose holding company -SIC-has been operating on the domestic market for over 50 years as official supplier of University Departments, Hospitals, State-run Research Centres , Health Governmental Departments, Industry laboratories and we have developed a high level professional know-how in this specific field of life science research: we distribute and sell research products in Italy and to foreign marketplaces and we produce as well our own line of antibodies for cell and immunobiology.
SIC operates through 3 sister companies:

? IS-Immunological Sciences an innovative Biotech company, specialized in the production of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies for the immunological field

SIC /Supply Department to Government and Military Organizations specializes in tests for the rapid detection of bacteria and toxins in human, environmental, surface, food, and water samples for use by municipal and corporate customers as well as DNA rapid tests on crime and war scene for use by Police, Firemen and Military forces. This section also provide safety equipment for the crime scene, thus including bio terrorism.
? We have now established a new subsidiary specialised in research products for the Veterinary field whose core activity is focused on Research & Diagnostics.
SIC initially began as an import and distributing chemical business, concentrating itself on the commercialization of laboratory products for scientific and industrial research.
The years passed and the demand kept increasing and becoming more and more selective. In order to meet this demand, SIC optimized its market
Moreover, it especially developed the domain of biotechnologies by creating new commercial lines. These included the productive aspect, which was finalized and commercialized by IS - IMMUNOLOGICALSCIENCES.
This production line was realized with the significant collaboration and partnership of prestigious and influential Italian universities and international, high tech labs.
Sic has acquired diversified know-how in the past years and, through its subsidiary IS , it is actively pursuing research and manufacture of new product lines to meet researcher's demand worldwide, developing life science research projects in partnership with the most prestigious University departments and high-tech labs all over the world.
Thanks to this long and productive cooperation with advanced Research Centres , SIC often takes part and is directly involved in research projects which we support, finance and monitor from the very start up until the final results.
Actually the creation of Immunological Sciences on the market permitted to diversify the business activity in two main lines:
o one of antibodies and molecular reagents, directed essentially to a highly qualified and advanced technology scientific profile target in the molecular research and diagnostic sector,
and
o one for laboratory diagnostics in specific areas such as enzyme and/or immunological rapid screening on biological liquids whose readings do not require any specific devices.
The above technologies, as you well know, are raising today a larger and larger interest within the scientific community. As you know, this method of work is being applied in multiple applications, some of which are addressed to very specific sectors like emogenetics, while others , like drug abuse or various pathology rapid diagnostic, although originally oriented with this same intent, have successively been uniformed to the market demand.
Our activity is supported by direct-emailing , participation in scientific conferences and exhibitions, in the production and distribution of our main catalogue, brochures, leaflets, posters and various promotional material ,in addition to a corporate data-base containing more than 40,000 names of researchers and labs ,which we have selected and built up during the years and which we update on a daily basis.
Actually we have led strategic reorganisations that focus on our forces and intelligence to prioritize clients, drive innovation, and develop new product offerings in every area we do business.
One of our main goal is to go on building successful relationships with our customers through high quality standard products ,fairly priced solutions, and excellent services, including scientific assistance.
The over 50 years SIC presence on the research market has created a priority channel with the Italian research community as well as with the Government Boards and State Police Departments which of course is very much helpful when introducing new production lines.
Our company is headquartered in Rome ,in our own premises, and we have 15 employees + the management + the sale network , subdivided according to the different operative departments:

The sale network is a strong one, with a significant corporate background and specific scientific know-how. It is specifically set up to keep scientists and research community informed about products lines and our latest output and technologies.
It's made up by a reliable, professional staff of 28 agents 20 of them being, chemists and cell -biologists, with a well-rooted experience of the specific biotechnology marketplace , located in the main university cities and covering the whole Italian territory from North to South. They weekly visit labs and research centres ,distributing materials and supplying them tailor-made scientific consultancy on the different products and technologies.
The other technical team of 8 units ,instead ,covers the Governmental and Military field
Of course we are increasing this team and we expect to reach 35 units of selected personnel within the end of the current year.
